Nokia launches its new 41 mega pixel phone in SA

The new Nokia 808 PureView 41 Megapixel camera phone being the first of its kind has been launched on the Vodacom network in South Africa on Friday, according to a press release. 

This amazing gadget was first unveiled the device at Mobile World Congress in February 2012, boasting a 41 megapixel sensor, running on the Symbian mobile operating system, and the phone maker’s own pixel-oversampling technology. 

The device can capture an image, zoom in on it, re-frame it, then crop and resize the image to normal resolutions. It also has the ability to record 1080p Full HD video with up to 4x lossless zoom. The camera phone will retail at R7,999 (about N176,000).
